THE LOFT KITCHEN

Nuno Mendes, formally the Head Chef at Bacchus on Hoxton Street, has recently conceived and launched The Loft Kitchen. A live and work space on Kingsland Road where he is offering a bespoke dining experience in the form of a "Home Restaurant". This space allows Nuno to create and develop his culinary ideas and creations with complete creative freedom. Guests are invited to share in this experience around a communal table. The menu will change frequently and Nuno will be collaborating with artists and designers to contribute to the theme and mood for each event, creating a unique evening each time.
The format will be similar to Bacchus, Nuno offers each guest a tasting menu with a drink pairing at a set price per person. For the rest of the week the space is available for private functions, exhibitions and events, with or without food service. In addition to this Nuno is offering a range of cooking classes covering food from rustic to modern. Classes will be available for groups as well as private and times and dates are flexible.
Nuno approached Associate looking for furniture and lighting for the launch of The Loft Kitchen in mid-February. Associate provided all of the furniture required including a table solution, seating and lighting, using designs from Konstantin Grcic, Jasper Morrison, Artur & Jonas and Charles Eames.
