SEOUL YOUNG DESIGNERS PAVILION
The aims of Seoul Young Designers Pavilion are twofold: to help establish an international audience for Seoul's fledgling designers and to demonstrate the global importance of Seoul as city of design. Associate is pleased to be working with Seoul Young Designers Pavilion and is undertaking the public relations and communications responsibilities for the project within the UK.
The design concept that emerged for the 2008 Seoul Young Designers Pavilion was ‘Goose Bumps’. The 21 pieces of work exhibited emphasised character, sensitivity, fun, functionality and environmental awareness.
Seoul Young Designers Pavilion at Designersblock London 2008 brings a fresh new energy to the design industry, whilst simultaneously highlighting Seoul as a world design city that incubates exciting new young designers.
In addition, this first showcase of Korean design is to be presented by the Korean government and KIDP (Korean Institute of Design Promotion) at 100% Design 2008.
Seoul Metropolitan Government and SBA (Seoul Business Agency) is supporting the two exhibitions and is active in promoting Seoul as ‘World Design Capital’.
