100%NORWAY 2006

Associate delivered a tailored communications package for the 100%Norway 2006 event in London, the event was presented by The Royal Norwegian Embassy, Innovation Norway, Snohetta, Lovetann, the Norwegian Design Council, Insidenorway.no and Blueprint magazine.

100%Norway is a stirring blend of contemporary design, architecture and fashion. From established names to the newest talents, this showcase provides an intriguing snapshot of the current state of Norwegian design.

The 2006 exhibition was focused around the Lovetann modular home. It takes a new approach to modular housing, seeking to liberate prefabrication from homogenous solutions and allow for personal customization and infinite variants of the same structure. Constructed on site, the Lovetann home is the perfect place to come and experience groundbreaking and flexible architecture in person.

On show in the Lovetann home, and in the surrounding space within Brick Lanes U-Block, was a concise collection of fine design emerging from Norway. Blueprint’s Henrietta Thompson had chosen a luminous array of work from established names such as Norway Says, Frost, Hive and Hole, and unearthed hot new talents like Stokke Austad and Sari. A selection of contemporary fashion design from the Norwegian Design Council’s exhibition “From Valdres to Vogue” bestowed the exhibition with a little glamour, as well as lingerie for the bedroom. Norway’s next generation of gifted designers was also represented with a comprehensive collection of the most recent and outstanding student work.

100%Norway provided visitors with a passionate and all encompassing vision of life at home. The designs on show ranged from furniture, lighting and accessories, to mp3 players, post boxes, and clothing, there was even a bicycle.
